Hotel Night Auditor - Full-Time

Job Summary Hotel on North is a modern boutique hotel located in downtown Pittsfield. We are seeking a dependable, detail oriented Night Auditor to join our overnight team. This position combines front desk guest service responsibilities with nightly financial and operational auditing tasks that help ensure the hotel runs smoothly each day. The Night Auditor serves as the primary overnight team member on property and plays an important role in balancing and reviewing daily transactions, preparing reports, supporting guest needs, and helping maintain a safe and organized environment overnight. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys structured tasks, and has strong attention to detail and accuracy. Reports to: Front Office Manager Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide professional and friendly service during check-in and check-out. Handle reservations, wake up calls, guest requests, and guest concerns overnight. Complete the nightly audit process by reviewing and balancing daily hotel transactions within the property management system. Reconcile reports, verify postings, identify discrepancies, and prepare end of day summaries for hotel leadership. Perform overnight property walks to help ensure guest and property safety. Maintain an organized and presentable front desk and lobby area throughout the shift. Restock lobby amenities, coffee service, and counter sales items for the following day. Empty front desk and lobby trash receptacles and assist with light overnight cleaning and resetting tasks. Assist guests with luggage and other guest service needs as required. Communicate important overnight updates and operational notes to hotel leadership and incoming staff. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements Previous hotel, front desk, administrative, bookkeeping, cash handling, data entry, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy when working with numbers and reports. Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, and hotel software systems. Ability to learn and complete nightly balancing and reporting procedures. Ability to work independently and remain dependable during overnight hours. Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Professional communication skills and a guest focused attitude. Ability to stay alert, focused, and organized throughout overnight shifts. Ability to lift and carry luggage, supplies, and other items up to 40 pounds. Why Join Us?
