Compensation Overview Salary for full‑time: $150,000 – $180,000 (prorated for part‑time based on experience and hours). No negative accrual and no non‑compete. Part‑time pay is prorated. Strong Culture of Care and national resources. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups. Communicate with clients and provide education. Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery. Maintain accurate medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Promote teamwork and staff efficiency. Coordinate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities. Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge. Monitor cases and attend daily rounds when possible. Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications (Required) DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university. Current state veterinary license. DEA registration maintained. 1+ year of experience in a veterinary practice. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent surgical and dental skills. Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care. Ability to communicate effectively with all staff and clients. Skill in eliciting information and building rapport with pet owners. Confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed or ill pets. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physically demanding tasks. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Advanced clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations. Problem‑solving ability for high‑quality veterinary hospital management. Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff. Professionalism and ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Business acumen related to practice finance and management. Knowledge of ethical principles governing patient care decisions. Commitment to continuing education and facilitation of learning for others. Compensation & Pay Range $150,000 – $180,000 USD for full‑time, prorated for part‑time based on experience.
