Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
TLC
Registered Nurse Pacu
Shift: 12:00 PM 8:30 PM (some shifts may vary to 12:00 PM 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM 9:00 PM)
Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week - No weekends, no call, no holidays
Unit: 28-bed Pacu (Phase I Pacu care)
Patient population: Adolescents and adults; majority oncology
Daily census: approximately 40-50 visits/day
Minimum 2 years Pacu experience
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience with charting in Epic
Clinical skills: Phase I Pacu, dysrhythmia recognition/management
Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia and provide post-operative care.
Assess patient health status and report any concerning changes.
Administer medications and assist with pain management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge plans.
Orientation: 40 hours
COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
Two professional references required; at least one must be a manager or director.
RTO required with submission.
