Material Handler – 2nd ShiftLocation: East Providence, RIPay:$21.75/hourShift:2nd ShiftPosition Type: Full-TimeEnvironment: Manufacturing / WarehousePosition OverviewWe are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support manufacturing and warehouse operations in East Providence, RI. This position is responsible for moving materials to the correct inventory locations, supplying production departments with needed components, and maintaining accurate and organized inventory.The ideal candidate has previous material handling or warehouse experience and is comfortable operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.ResponsibilitiesRetrieve components and materials needed by production departmentsDeliver materials to designated production areasReturn unused components to their proper warehouse locationsMove and organize inventory throughout the facilityIdentify and communicate inventory discrepancies to the supervisorTransport materials to Quality Assurance when quality issues ariseReturn approved materials back to inventoryKeep warehouse inventory organized and in designated locationsOperate forklifts and other lift equipment safelyPerform cycle counts and inventory recounts as requestedAssist the Distribution Center as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaFollow applicable procedures and safety requirementsWork overtime as neededPerform additional material handling duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment preferredForklift experience preferredExperience with Raymond, Counterbalance, and/or Turret Lift equipment preferredSAP experience preferredBasic computer skillsStrong organizational and communication skillsBasic math skills and ability to accurately count inventoryStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work overtime as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move up to 70 lbs.Ability to sit or stand for extended periodsAbility to move throughout a warehouse and manufacturing facilityFrequent bending and stoopingComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environmentThis is a strong opportunity for someone with material handling, forklift, warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving, or manufacturing experience looking for a full-time 2nd-shift position.Pay Details: $21.75 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
