Application Software Engineer

Position Summary The Application Software Engineer is accountable for the Applicative Software modules Development, Software architectural Design, Software integration and testing for E-Machine Product. Key Responsibilities 2.1. Differentiated technology Understand the industry trend and be familiar with automotive software technologies. Participate to achieve the software roadmaps and performance targets. 2.2. Product development Responsible for the Software requirements specification and for the applicative software modules requirements specification. Develop the applicative software modules either model based design or manual C coding for electrical motor control and dependent applications. Perform/Support the applicative software modules testing (Unit, MIL/SIL). Perform the software integration as per the software architecture. Support the software validation team and customers. 2.3. Standardization Participate to deploy the standardized development procedures and engineering practices for ensuring consistency and process adherence across all electrification programs. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field. 5+ years automotive software development work experience in multiple national companies. Key Skills Strong knowledge on software development in model based design and manual C coding. Good knowledge on embedded system and embedded software. Good knowledge on AUTOSAR based software architecture. Good knowledge on software testing: MIL/SIL. Good knowledge on power electronics, AC Drives, electric motor control and control system fundamentals. Good knowledge on automotive diagnostics. Good knowledge on software integration and release. Good knowledge on tools like Trace32, Vector/ETAS tools, Matlab/Simulink, Embedded Coder and AUTOSAR RTE. Knowledge on software development processes. Knowledge in Automotive Safety Standard ISO 26262. Demonstrated bias for action/initiative, customer focus. Proven problem solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Garrett Motion
