Associate Attorney
We are seeking a 3-5 years experienced Associate Attorney specializing in environmental law to join the team and handle substantive litigation, regulatory, and contaminated-site matters.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Handle environmental litigation, including case preparation, legal research, drafting, and advocacy.
- Advise clients on environmental regulatory compliance, permitting, and applicable requirements.
- Work on the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties.
- Support the environmental aspects of complex business and real estate transactions.
- Manage client relationships, collaborate with consultants and government agencies, and develop and argue legal matters independently.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey.
- 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in environmental law.
- Meaningful exposure to environmental litigation, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) practice, or contaminated-site matters.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, communication, and client relationship skills.
