We are seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Research Management to provide leadership across oncology clinical research programs for the Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups and its affiliated organizations, including Alpha Oncology and PrECOG.

This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for an accomplished clinical research professional who brings expertise in oncology clinical research, clinical operations, site and sponsor relationships, contracts and budgets, CRO oversight, and business development.

Reporting to the Vice President, the Director will work closely with investigative sites, clinical trial sponsors, CRO partners, legal teams, business development colleagues, and internal leadership to support the successful development and execution of oncology research programs.

What You'll Do

Clinical Research & Program Leadership

• Provide leadership and oversight for oncology clinical research programs across Alpha Oncology and PrECOG.
• Lead and support program start-up activities, including site identification and selection, budget development, and contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with investigative sites and other clinical research partners.
• Work directly with sites and collaborate with legal teams and clinical trial sponsors on contracts and related program matters.
• Provide management and oversight of contracted CRO partners supporting PrECOG programs.
• Supervise and support assigned personnel.
• Contribute to the development of program documents, presentations, and other materials needed for successful program execution.

Business Development & Client Engagement

• Partner with the Vice President and business development team to develop company capabilities presentations and marketing materials.
• Participate in client meetings, proposal presentations, and proposal defense meetings.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and revision of scopes of work, RFP responses, contracts, and related business development materials.
• Present organizational capabilities to prospective and existing clients.
• Contribute to business development and marketing strategies that support the organization's clinical research programs.
• Represent the organization at major oncology and clinical research meetings and conferences, including ASCO and ONS.
• Travel to client locations and other business-related meetings as needed.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced oncology clinical research leader who combines clinical expertise, operational leadership, business acumen, and strong relationship-building skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in oncology clinical research and/or communications.
• Experience working in clinical research operations and/or the clinical trial environment.
• Strong understanding of clinical research processes and investigative site relationships.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• SOCRA certification.
• Management or supervisory experience.
• Experience with business development, client presentations, proposals/RFPs, scopes of work, budgets, and contracts.
• Experience working with investigative sites, clinical trial sponsors, CROs, pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, academic research organizations, or cooperative groups.
