Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled CVOR Nurse to provide expert perioperative care during cardiovascular surgeries. The ideal candidate will have experience with adult open-heart and vascular cases, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure proper preparation and aseptic techniques in the CVOR setting.
• Circulate and scrub in cardiovascular procedures, including adult open-heart, vascular, thoracic, neuro, and general surgeries.
• Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to intraoperative changes, maintaining high standards of patient safety.
• Document all clinical activities accurately within the EPIC charting system.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Support on-call duties, including responding to emergencies and assisting with scheduled surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New Jersey or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess 1.5+ years of current acute care or specialized CVOR experience.
• Demonstrate scrub and circulate skills, with preferred experience in adult open-heart, vascular, or neuro cases.
• Complete or be willing to complete de-escalation training within 14 days for behavioral health cases.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.
• Capable of floating within skillset, adhering to patient ratios and staffing requirements.
