Daily Work Times: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager repairs, installs, adjusts, monitors, and maintains building HVAC/R, plumbing and electrical systems and performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks of the hospital building systems.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Possess a building maintenance certificate or equivalent experience.
Must possess valid State of Michigan Operator's license
Must meet approval by insurance carrier to drive hospital vehicles

Preferred:

4th class power engineering certification from NIULPE (National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers, Inc.) or has Third Class Stationary Engineer, licensed/registered by the State of Michigan
Certification as a Health Care Mechanic or Health Care Engineer, as accredited by MECH or the Healthcare Facilities Alliance or similar agency.
Previous experience in HVAC/R systems maintenance in a health care setting.
Previous experience working alone, without assistance.
