Registered Respiratory Therapist - Level 3 NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends required: Yes, every other weekend as per CBA.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Level 3 NICU team. The successful candidate will work independently and will have the experience to operate within a Level 2 regional trauma center. Candidates must have a current WA state license and be flexible to float between internal departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonates, ensuring the highest level of patient care in a NICU setting.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient management.
• Utilize advanced respiratory techniques and equipment, including BiPAP, CPAP, and various ventilators.
• Evaluate and monitor patient respiratory status through interpretation of arterial blood gases and vital signs.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and perform intubation and emergency procedures as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting or similar high-acuity environment.
• Current WA state respiratory therapist license (RRT) is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS.
• Experience with patient care in a NICU III or IV level setting is strongly preferred.
• Ability to provide detailed patient assessments and implement care plans effectively.
