Electrician PositionOverview TheElectricianisaskilledtradepositionresponsiblefortheinstallation,wiring,andconnectionofelectricalsystemsonIdealEnergy'ssolarphotovoltaic(PV)projects.Thisroleisprimarilydedicatedtocommunitysolarinstallations,withoccasionalassignmentssupportingcommercialandindustrial(C&I)orresidentialsolarprojectsasbusinessneedsrequire. TheElectricianperformsbothself-directedandsupervisedelectricalworkinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode(NEC),statelicensingrequirements,andIdealEnergysafetyandqualitystandards,includingDCarraywiring,combinerandinverterconnections,ACinterconnection,andgrounding/bondingsystems.ThisroleworkscloselywiththeSeniorLeadElectrician,Warehouse,InventoryandProcurementManager,theProjectManagementteam,andthefieldstafftoensureelectricalscopesarecompletedsafely,onschedule,andtocode. Electriciansmayalsoprovidetechnicalguidanceandon-the-jobtrainingtoElectricianApprenticesandLaborersassignedtotheircrew.Thisrolerequiresasignificantamountoftravel—uptoapproximately80%ofthetime—tojobsitesacrossIowaandIllinois,includingmulti-dayassignmentstoruralandremoteprojectsites.
