Patient Coordinator – Full Time (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8am till 5pm (36 hrs. per week)) - Heritage Diagnostic CenterAt Capitol Imaging Services (Diagnostic Imaging Services), we are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented patient coordinator to join our imaging facility team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for our patients from the moment they schedule their appointment to the completion of their visit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, a passion for patient care, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently. As a Patient Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in making each patient feel seen, heard, and supported.Key Responsibilities:Patient Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments, ensuring optimal use of facility resources and timely patient care.Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; communicate coverage details to patients as needed.Appointment Management: Monitor the schedule daily to identify cancellations and proactively backfill open slots to maintain efficiency.Patient Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for patients—answering calls, responding to inquiries, and providing clear, empathetic guidance.Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately input patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system and maintain up-to-date records.Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination.Customer Service: Provide a warm, welcoming environment for patients and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a healthcare or medical office setting, preferably in radiology or imaging services.Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficiency in scheduling software and EMR systemsAttributes: Empathetic, patient-focused, dependable, and passionate about helping others.PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:Answering telephones, balancing figures, inputting data into computer programs, maintaining filing systems, maintains logs, maintaining patient charts, researching information, scheduling appointments.Operating adding machine, calculator, Fax, personal computer, photocopierExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to maintain a professional image including courteous behaviorBi-lingual a plus or PreferredEducation:High school or equivalentExperience & License:Experience preferred but not required.Physical Demands:Mostly sedentary workModerate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs)Occasional standing/walkingOccasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching #J-18808-Ljbffr Capitol Imaging Services, LLC
