Senior Software Engineer – Full-Time Direct Employment

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for a full-time, long-term remote position.

The successful candidate will join an international engineering team and contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software applications.

Candidates must have at least five years of professional software development experience. Previous experience working in a software company, product organization, consulting organization, or enterprise engineering environment is required.

Applicants should have strong experience with at least one modern programming language or software development framework. Relevant technologies may include Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, cloud platforms, databases, APIs, Git, and continuous integration and deployment practices.

Candidates should understand modern software development principles, Agile delivery, source control, code reviews, automated testing, debugging, application security, and collaborative software delivery.

C1-level or higher spoken English is required because interviews, technical discussions, meetings, documentation, and daily communication will be conducted in English.

The selected candidate must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with engineers, technical leads, product managers, and other stakeholders across international teams.

This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The compensation displayed in this posting is an estimated rate and may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, technical skills, location, and employment arrangement.
