Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Overview Travel assignment in a hospital setting, Bangor, ME. Note: Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility will receive a $10/hour lower local rate. Registered Nurse – Med Surg – Bangor, Maine, United States. Start date: 08/17/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,179 to $2,275 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for medical‑surgical patients under the supervision of the Unit Director, following Maine Board of Nursing standards and unit policies. Perform patient assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, and carry out treatments, including telemetry monitoring as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans; participate in handoffs and care coordination. Assist with activities of daily living, wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures to support patient safety, comfort, and recovery. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; adhere to infection control, safety, and quality protocols; respond promptly to changes in patient condition. Requirements Current Maine RN license. BLS and ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire. Telemetry experience preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required. Ability to work in a hospital setting; strong communication and teamwork skills; able to multitask. Benefits and Support Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid. Facility cancellation: up to 3 shifts may be canceled during the 13-week contract.
