Job DescriptionThe Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) works under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist and provides a broad range of clinical support services to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. This role complies with all New York State laws and regulations governing dental assisting practices.Job Type: Full-TimeSalary: $24.00- $25.11Sign On Bonus: $1,500Essential Duties and Responsibilities:In addition to the general Dental Assistant duties, RDAs will:Educate patients on oral health and post-treatment careCollect preliminary medical histories and vital signs for dentist reviewPlace and remove rubber damsSelect and prefit provisional crownsTake impressions for study casts, diagnostic casts, space maintainers, orthodontic appliances, and occlusal guardsRemove periodontal dressings and sutures placed by a licensed dentistApply topical anticariogenic and desensitizing agentsPlace and remove temporary separating devices and restorationsRemove temporary cementTake dental radiographs in accordance with Public Health LawPerform other authorized supportive services as directed by the supervising dentistRequirements:High School diploma/GEDBLS/CPR certificationCurrent registration as a Dental Assistant in New York StateCompletion of a recognized dental assisting programRadiology certification per Public Health LawStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environmentAbout Sun River HealthSun River Health has a rich history of providing quality, affordable health care to communities in need.
