BUYER Job Purpose: This position will focus on procurement of products including DRAM, DIMMs, Nand/NOR Flash, SSDs as a main responsibility. Will also support other Buyers for SSD Controllers, PCB's, Registers, Passives, Connectors, as well as managing sub-contractors business such as Tape & Reel, Conformal Coating, etc. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Analyze demand/MRP data through Oracle ERP system on a daily basis to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities utilizing supply base and commodity specific knowledge. Develop and maintain strong relationships with core vendors through daily communication as well as monthly or quarterly product roadmap and supply/demand review meetings. Also establish and maintain good relationship with Brokers/Distributors. Make timely purchasing transactions which achieve company quality, schedule, cost, and strategic objectives. Works with internal organizations and suppliers to continuously reduce costs and inventory levels. Determines root cause of parts shortages and implements solutions. Resolves quality issues with purchased materials together with QA and Engineering, Issues RMA and deploys corrective process improvements with vendors. Maintains purchasing related data in the company’s Oracle system. Runs Monthly Reports and develops new reports based on management requests for both internal and corporate requirements. Works closely with Planning and Sales team for detailed forecast data and measures accuracy against purchases. Responsible for moving excess products through multiple channels in the open market. Collect and analyze the Memory market trend and provide update to management on a timely manner. Indirect Purchase Requisition(IPR) for all non-inventory purchasing Quarterly cost update of all materials and inventory items in the system New vendor set up with Sanmina VCCS team Work with Sanmina AP to resolve the pending payments to vendors Supplier performance review Prepare for the internal/external audits such as ISO and AS9100 Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field 5 yearsexperience in manufacturing purchasing and materials control, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Semiconductor Memory business experience preferred Excellent Microsoft Office Skills Experience with Oracle or other equivalent ERP system preferred Strong relationship building skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/deadlines and deliver high quality results. Strong negotiation skills. Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range (annual) : $72,000 - $85,000.00 Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
