Experience: Five or more years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering. Proficiency with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, robotic programming, and industrial communication networks is required.

Position Summary:
The Controls Engineer designs, programs, and supports industrial automation and control systems. This role is responsible for developing automation solutions, troubleshooting control systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Essential Job Duties: The Control System Engineer is responsible for development of the technical aspects of assigned projects. This may include:
Communicate effectively with project manager throughout the project lifecycle, keeping them informed of progress, risks, and costs.
Maintain expertise in industry trends and vendor/partner offerings to recommend solutions aligned with business needs.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, but not required. Willing to substitute applicable work experience in place of degree.

- Assist in feasibility studies and development of cost estimation
- System architecture design (PLC/HMI/DCS, I/O, networks, computer infrastructure)
- Electrical control panel design and schematics
- Instrumentation specification
- PLC program development and implementation
- Robotic programming and support
- HMI/SCADA application development and screen design
- Design and develop PLC, HMI/SCADA, and industrial control systems.
- Program and support PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
- Design control system architecture, electrical schematics, and control panels.
- Specify and integrate instrumentation and industrial networks.
- Design, build, maintain, and improve automated assembly and test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system and automation issues.
- Assist with project planning, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate project status, risks, and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay current on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.

- Strong understanding of process control principles, PLC programming, Robotic programming, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial network communication protocols.
- Experience with electrical control systems design and schematics development (a plus).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities effectively.
- Desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
