Position Summary:
At Mission Design & Automation, we attribute our success to the strength of our team and our ability to be agile and adaptive to new market demands. To build on this team, we are searching for a Project Manager. This role will work interdepartmentally to ensure the success of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the lifecycle of automation projects, ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously, and deliver highly competitive solutions for customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point-of-contact between internal teams and customers
- Facilitate internal collaboration by providing clear guidance to project teams
- Lead project teams through project kickoffs, scope and engineering changes, schedule and budget management, open issues, and risk analysis
- Identify and anticipate project needs and take action accordingly
- Support Business Development by providing expertise on timelines, costs, and more
- Prepare and communicate project status and escalate critical concerns as needed
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership, and soft skills necessary to build relationships
- Self-starting, focused, and able to work independently
- Demonstrate efficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field and/or experience managing projects in the automation industry
- 5+ years of experience in the automation industry
- 3+ years of experience in project management
- Prior experience in machine design, build, or programming strongly preferred
- History of successfully managing multiple customer contacts and projects at various stages of completion
- PMP certification preferred but not required
- Some travel to customer facilities may be required
