The Accounting Manager uses expert accountant knowledge to resolve complex accounting matters. Monitors and reviews the end to end monthly accounting close activities.ResponsibilitiesNon-Standard Deal Review• Reviews and monitors non-standard transactions throughout the month and concludes on accounting implications per US and Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)• Directs accounting teams on execution of conclusionsMonth End Close• Reviews work of accounting team• Reviews and approves flux analysis, reconciliations and journal• Reviews and approves SOX controls• Reviews PBC (Provided/prepared by Client) and interacts with auditorsDisclosures and External Reporting• Responsible for reviewing any additional regional disclosures needed for Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) reportingManagement Reporting• Reviews month end management reportingBusiness Partnering• Partners with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and senior management• Works with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve advanced accounting mattersProcess Improvement• Participates in project work, assigned tasks and/or leads advanced projectsTechnical Accounting• Has a proficiency in understanding an applying general accepted accounting principals when accounting for transactions• Works with stakeholders on reaching and documenting accounting conclusions for transactions• Works with business partners on staying informed of relevant matters• Proactively identifies unusual accounting matters and resolves complex issues• Monitors and ensures compliance with evolving US GAAP requirements• Supports the implementation of new accounting standards
