Maintenance Technician$20–$25/hour, based on experience | Florence, KY Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | On-Call RotationPut Your Maintenance Skills to Work and Keep Building ThemUptown Rental Properties is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain our Florence-area properties and provide a great experience for our residents.This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience working with repairs, maintenance, make-readies, construction, or the skilled trades and wants to continue developing their technical skills.You don't need to know how to fix absolutely everything. We're looking for someone who can troubleshoot, take ownership of a problem, know when to ask for help, and take pride in doing quality work.What You'll DoComplete maintenance work orders and general repairs across Uptown propertiesTroubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issuesComplete apartment turns, make-ready work, and property upkeepDiagnose problems and work toward practical, lasting solutionsManage and update work orders using an iPhone-based systemCommunicate professionally with residents about repairs, progress, and next stepsCoordinate with property managers, vendors, and other technicians when additional support is neededIdentify and escalate issues that require more advanced expertiseHelp maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and organized work areasRespond to unexpected maintenance needs and changing priorities throughout the dayParticipate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation approximately one week per monthWhat We're Looking ForYou may be a great fit if you:Have 1+ year of experience preferred in apartment maintenance, make-ready work, facilities maintenance, construction, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a related hands-on roleAre comfortable using hand and power toolsHave some experience troubleshooting maintenance or repair issuesEnjoy figuring out what's causing a problem instead of simply treating the symptomCan work independently while knowing when to ask for additional supportAre dependable, organized, and able to adjust when priorities changeTake pride in quality workmanship and completing work the right wayCommunicate professionally with residents, coworkers, managers, and vendorsHave a high school diploma or equivalentHave a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordCan perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing and walking throughout the workday, climbing ladders, and lifting 50+ lbs.Pay & Benefits$20–$25/hour, based on experience and technical skillsMonday–Friday schedulePaid training and advancement opportunitiesCompany-provided uniforms, tools, work phone, and vehicleMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceDisability & Life Insurance401(k) with company match and profit sharingPaid Time Off, Sick Days & Paid HolidaysFree ParkingEmployee appreciation eventsWhy Uptown Rental Properties?At Uptown, we take pride in maintaining high-quality communities where residents feel at home.
