Senior Solutions Support Architect (Palo Alto)

Purpose and Objective

Ariba, Inc. seeks a professional to be responsible for testing, maintaining, and monitoring systems for Ariba Network, including Cloud Integration Gateway supplier‑side issues and end‑to‑end integration of IES for customers.

Expectations and Tasks

• Serve as a cross‑organizational lead for Ariba Network issues, including product issues and Cloud Health monitoring.
• Perform predictive and proactive support using Cloud Health to identify and resolve issues before customer reports.
• Develop tools that improve supportability and usability of SAP products.
• Setup automated monitoring within Cloud Health for Ariba network business flows and train Support Engineers.
• Represent SAP Ariba in customer‑facing situations for Ariba Network and Cloud Integration Gateway as a Product Expert.
• Debug Java code using Opengrok for customer issues related to Ariba Network, Catalog Integration with Guided Buying, SSO, and Cloud Integration Gateway.
• Utilize knowledge of Object‑Oriented programming, SAP ABAP programming, and Partner Directory.
• Report defects identified through Cloud Health monitoring and discuss urgent issues with Development Architects and Leadership.
• Collaborate with delivery, consulting, sales, deployment, engineering, supplier integrators, catalog teams, quality teams, product managers, and support organizations to drive issue resolution and feature innovation.

Education and Occupational Experience

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems or a related field and six years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

In the alternative, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems or a related field and four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

Experience must involve three years in each of the following:

• ABAP.
• Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Analyzing system landscape and technical issues.
• SQL.
• HR Domain developments of custom programs for customers.
• Object‑Oriented Programming.
• Technical documentation writing.
• Defect management including collaboration, implementation, troubleshooting, and fixing.

Experience must also include:

• Materials Management and Sales Distribution business process lifecycle developments of custom programs for customers.
• Business Process Design and Development.

Compensation Range Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $194,792-$210,584. The targeted combined range for this position is $194,792-$239,300. The actual amount offered will be dependent on education, skills, experience, scope of the role, and location.
