Department: Marketing and Communications Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director, Social Media and Creator Hub, the Social Media Producer is an essential member of Fordham University's University Marketing and Communications (UMC) team. This role involves creative and strategic content production to enhance brand awareness, strengthen Fordham's reputation, and engage diverse audiences. The Social Media Producer will report to the Senior Director of Social Media and Content Hub and work within the Content and Channel Engagement team to develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy. The Social Media Producer will focus on content creation, community management, and engagement, fostering a strong social media presence that reflects Fordham's values, vibrant student community, and holistic approach to education. Essential Functions: Assists in the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the University’s branding, marketing, and communications goals. Shoots and edits social media videos tailored specifically to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube using either smartphones or professional equipment. Creates, curates, and manages multimedia content (text, images, videos) across Fordham's social media platforms. Proactively stays up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring Fordham's content remains innovative. Maintains brand consistency by ensuring all content aligns with Fordham's voice and adheres to best practices. Writes engaging scripts and copy that capture audience attention and encourage interaction across social platforms. Builds positive relationships with students, alumni, faculty, and stakeholders through active social media interactions. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to promote Fordham's events, programs, and initiatives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, ideally within higher education or nonprofit sectors. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in film and media, multimedia production, design, marketing, communications, or a related field. Experience developing multimedia principles in support of a new brand and evolving brand platform. Salary: Minimum Salary: $75,000 Maximum Salary: $80,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
