Clinic Support Staff – Employer-Based Health Clinics
SSM Health is seeking a customer service focused Clinic Support Staff member to join our innovative direct-to-employer program at the Grande Cheese clinics.
This role supports a patient-centered approach to both primary and acute care for Grande Cheese Associates and their families, while helping ensure efficient clinic operations and excellent patient experiences.
We have opportunities for:
• MA, CMA or RMA- must be graduates of a school of medical assisting
• EMTs with a WI license
• Paramedics with a WI license
• LPNs with a WI license
Patient Population Supported:
Primary Care: Ages 5 and up
Acute Care: Ages 2 and up
Key Responsibilities:
Provide front- and back-office clinical support to providers
Assist with patient intake, rooming, vital signs, and documentation
Support primary care and acute care visits
Assist with pre-employment, work-related, and follow-up physicals
Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely and efficient visits
Support population health and wellness initiatives
Maintain clinic supplies and equipment
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards
Utilize the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for documentation and scheduling

Tuesday: 7AM-5PM
Wednesday: 7AM-5PM
Thursday: 8AM-4:30PM
This role plays a vital part in supporting providers, protecting patient safety, and maintaining a high-quality, employer-based healthcare experience for Grande Cheese Associates and their families.
Job Summary:
Assists in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients in a clinic setting.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives patient care assignment from the registered nurse (RN) in charge. Initiates delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence in performing nursing activities for specific patient age group served.
Collects and documents data for reassessment at specific times for patient population.
Documents and provides appropriate data to the Physician, RN and/or LPN for analysis and validation of patient’s response to care or treatment and when significant change occurs in the patient’s condition.
As appropriate to the environment working in, demonstrates knowledge of appropriate lead placement for routine cardiac monitoring and 12 lead EKG. Performs 12 lead EKG on patient according to policy and procedures.
May assist physician and nursing staff with medical procedures.
Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment in keeping with patient care needs and cost containment.
Turns over rooms after each patient use: Cleans carrier, changes sheets, restocks supplies, disposes of trash, ensures equipment returns to its proper place, and takes care of instrument trays according to the current procedure.
Assists with delegated clerical duties such as answering telephones, relaying messages transcription of physician orders, preparing and organizing the patient’s medical record.
Prepares patients for discharge or completion of patient visit and accompanies them upon dismissal as indicated. Transports patients to a receiving department or facility if indicated.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
Constant standing and walking.
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Occasional driving.
Rare crawling and running.
