Position Overview

United Fire & Water Damage of LA (UFW) is seeking an experienced and motivated Mitigation Manager to oversee our mitigation operations throughout the Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding markets. This position is responsible for managing mitigation technicians, coordinating restoration projects, creating work scopes, communicating with clients and insurance carriers, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and profitably.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with restoration or construction management experience who can thrive in a fast-paced emergency services environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise mitigation technicians and field personnel.
• Develop and create project work scopes for water, fire, mold, and other restoration losses.
• Coordinate project schedules, staffing, equipment, and resources.
• Maintain communication with homeowners, property managers, commercial clients, and insurance representatives.
• Collaborate with mitigation technicians, reconstruction staff, estimators, office personnel, and management.
• Conduct site visits, monitor project progress, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure projects comply with company procedures, industry standards, and safety requirements.
• Review documentation, photos, moisture readings, and project records for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing mitigation team members.
• Help maintain positive customer experiences throughout the restoration process.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing construction projects, restoration projects, or mitigation projects , OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, or disaster recovery.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, etc.).
• Experience with Xactimate, DASH, MICA, Encircle, or similar restoration software.

• Starting Salary: $60,000+ annually (DOE)
