Sr Project Control

Basic Purpose Leads the development and integration of complex project schedules and cost control measures for large‑scale projects, including design, development, and construction. Oversees the creation and maintenance of project reports that cover schedule summaries, performance measurement, cash flows, and status updates. Provides advanced expertise in scheduling, budgeting, and financial reporting to enhance project efficiency and accountability while mentoring junior team members, implementing best practices, and collaborating with senior management to support strategic decision‑making. Responsibilities Develop and manage master schedules, integrating comprehensive project schedules while considering dependencies and resource allocations. Oversee development and implementation of schedule risk management strategies to anticipate and mitigate potential delays. Develop and maintain detailed project reporting and analysis, including performance measurement, cash flows, and status updates. Analyze project performance data to provide insights and recommendations for cost‑saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Prepare high‑level presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders. Establish robust financial controls to ensure accuracy in project cost allocations and adherence to budgets. Review and approve project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial objectives. Manage and enhance project information within the ERP system, including initiation, maintenance, and close‑out procedures. Develop and implement new ERP system features, coordinate system testing, and document enhancements for users. Facilitate regular meetings with project managers, functional group leaders, and stakeholders to review progress, address issues, and adjust schedules. Provide expert advice and training to project teams on project controls best practices and system usage. Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and standards. Support regulatory activities by compiling detailed project data and documentation for audits and variance analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvements in project controls and implement best practices. Mentor and train junior project controls staff, fostering their professional growth and development. Qualifications Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of related work experience.
• Candidates lacking a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 9 years of related work experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Advanced knowledge of project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) Project accounting software Spreadsheet and database programs Data analysis Demonstrated Advanced Skills Such As Strategic thinking and problem‑solving Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills Knowledge in project management and project controls Leadership and mentoring capabilities Equipment and Applications Proficiency with PCs and advanced use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
