Job Title: QA Manager
Location: Orlando, FL

Strategic Planning:

Define, implement, and continuously improve overall testing strategies, methodologies, and procedures to meet quality standards.
Plan, estimate, and allocate QA resources across releases and projects.
Ensure alignment of QA activities with business goals, timelines, and budgets.

Test Execution & Management:

Oversee all testing phases (unit, integration, regression, user acceptance) and ensure test cases are fully executed.
Perform and lead manual testing activities, analyzing business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers to clarify requirements.
Ensure end-to-end business flow validation across integrated systems.
Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
Lead defect triage meetings with US clients and development teams.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for high-severity defects and ensure timely defect closure and regression validation.

Quality Metrics & Reporting:

Analyze defect data and track quality KPIs to drive data-driven decisions.
Report on testing progress and quality status to stakeholders.
Provide daily/weekly status updates to relevant teams and leadership.

Automation Testing & Process Improvement:

Define and own the automation strategy for functional and regression testing.
Select appropriate automation tools and frameworks based on application architecture.
Ensure automation aligns with Agile and CI/CD practices.
Perform automation code reviews and enforce best practices.
Schedule and monitor automated test executions; analyze and reduce flaky tests.
Track automation coverage, execution results, and ROI.
Drive adoption of automation tools and conduct root cause analysis for continuous improvement.

Risk Management & Compliance:

Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation plans proactively.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and quality standards.

Agile & DevOps Collaboration:

Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Collaborate with DevOps teams on environment readiness and build deployments.
Support continuous testing and shift-left testing practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work with developers and product managers to define testable user stories and align testing with business goals.
Act as the single point of contact for QA across both internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and manage onsite and offshore QA teams in a hybrid delivery model.

Team Leadership & Management:

Hire, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for QA team members.
Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.

Experience:

12-14+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance.
3+ years of experience in a QA Manager role.
Proven experience working directly with US clients and onsite stakeholders.
Prior experience in client-facing onsite roles in the US.
Experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models.

Manual Testing Skills:

Strong expertise in manual test design techniques.
Experience testing complex enterprise applications.
In-depth knowledge of end-to-end system and integration testing.
Hands-on experience with UAT coordination and support.

Automation & Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with UI automation tools.
Solid programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, or similar languages.
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Knowledge:

SQL and database testing experience.
Understanding of web services, REST APIs, and microservices.
Exposure to cloud-based applications and environments.
Familiarity with performance/security testing concepts (good to have).

Soft Skills & Leadership:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-management abilities.
Ability to handle ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced delivery environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Certifications (Preferred):

ISTQB Certification.
Agile Testing Certification.
Automation Testing Certification.
