Additional experience may substitute for education.Licenses and Certificates: Food Handlers Permit.Knowledge and/or Skills: Basic knowledge of institutional quantity food preparation, methods, procedures and service; weights and measures; and kitchen safety and sanitation.Abilities: Must be able to perform the routine duties of the position under direct supervision. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.Physical Abilities: Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, kneel and stoop. Lifts up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis; may lift medium to heavy objects up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Requires the ability to handle hot materials and working an environment dominated by wide temperature extremes.Requires sufficient hand coordination to use kitchen utensils and equipment and move and position hot materials.BWS: cs 02/22/00
