Job Summary:
An Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is needed in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The position involves providing critical care in a busy ER environment, supporting a Level IV Trauma Center that is accredited for stroke and chest pain. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves working nights, with the schedule including a weekend rotation once per month.

Job Details:

• Location: Kenosha, WI
• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Mobilization and Observation of Abusive Behavior (MOAB); critical care level skill set; 2 years of experience; valid license to be brought on the first day
• Preferred Qualifications: First-time traveler, flexible scrub color (solid, professional), parking provided free of charge
• Support on the Unit: Charge nurse will reduce patient assignment, hospitalist, emergency department medical doctor, health unit coordinator, phlebotomy support for peripheral blood draws, telemetry monitoring at nursing station without tele tech support
• Charting System: EPIC electronic medical record system
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, GE monitors
• Floating: No floating required
• Orientation: At least one shift to learn workflow
• Additional Information: Scrub color may be any solid, professional color; parking is free of charge
