Sales Engineer - Cincinnati

Overview Sales Engineer / Automation Sales Specialist / Account Manager – Cincinnati, Ohio. Base salary $117,000 - $125,000 + commission. This role is remote within Ohio, selling to machine builders and manufacturing plants to identify process improvements and deliver technical automation solutions. This position suits a commercially driven technical sales professional who enjoys prospecting, developing accounts, understanding customer challenges, and presenting practical solutions both remotely and face to face. Responsibilities Manage existing and new customer relationships across Ohio. Engage with customers and prospects on industrial automation solutions, engineering products, sensors, machine vision, IIoT solutions, control panel products, etc. Sell to machine builders and manufacturing plants. Define customer challenges clearly and support the development of suitable automation solutions. Plan: 3 days of customer visits, 2 days in the office. Use technical product and application knowledge to solve industrial automation challenges. Communicate with customers through web conferences, LinkedIn, phone calls, and in-person meetings. Attend customer sites for larger projects to evaluate machinery, review applications and present solutions. Requirements Experience as a Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Sales Representative, Sales Executive, Business Development Engineer, Account Manager, Automation Sales Specialist, Outside sales, or similar roles. Technical sales experience, ideally within industrial automation, engineering products, sensors, machine vision or related technical products. Degree-qualified – Engineering, technical or business-related. Experience selling to machine builders, manufacturing plants or automation-led environments would be beneficial.
