We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist with fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. They will join a collegial team of 25 cardiologists in a practice that blends advanced heart failure care (mechanical circulatory support, transplant, cardiogenic shock) with general cardiology. This opportunity is based in Portland, Oregon, offering a great quality of life with a renowned culinary and coffee culture, walkable neighborhoods, and quick access to hiking, skiing, and the Oregon Coast. What You Can Expect Advanced Heart Failure team including 4 Advanced Heart Failure board‑certified cardiologists, 1 transplant coordinator, 2 LVAD coordinators, and a social worker Multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery, structural/interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and pulmonary/critical care Temporary mechanical circulatory support (no ECMO at this time) and destination therapy LVAD implanting center Established and growing LVAD program (Sunnyside Medical Center is one of two LVAD programs within the Kaiser Permanente system) Transplant patient care internalized within approximately 8–10 weeks based on complexity, with collaboration through Kaiser Permanente National Transplant Services and external Centers of Excellence Cath lab procedures including right heart catheterization with vasoreactivity testing and endomyocardial biopsies; opportunity to perform transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) if interested Advanced Heart Failure call/inpatient service one week per month, with a mix of heart failure and general cardiology; night call is Advanced Heart Failure only Compensation & Benefits Automatic employer‑funded pension and retirement contributions totaling 21% of clinician‑eligible earnings (additional employee contributions optional) Competitive compensation not based on a fee‑for‑service model Pathway for physicians to become shareholders of Northwest Permanente Paid annual education leave plus annual education allowance Comprehensive benefits, including largely employer‑funded medical and dental premiums, life insurance, and paid leave Professional liability coverage at no cost; reimbursement for board certification and continuing medical education; in‑house CME opportunities Hiring bonus: $50,000 Total Rewards value range : $595,741–$696,000 Cash Compensation range : $586,100–$623,000 Base salary range : $501,100–$538,800 Placement within these ranges considers relevant experience, qualifications, training, certifications, extra shift compensation, call compensation, and market factors.
