Driver CDL-A

Inotiv is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic team! We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute research products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

This is a multi-faceted route driver position - Primary Routes rotate: Sunday - Thursday or Monday - Friday, up to 2-3 overnights. Rotating weekend route every 3 to 4 weeks.

Starting Rate: $33.50/ hour + full benefits within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

Class A Truck Driver Responsibilities

- Be able to drive and successfully operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs

- Pick up loads, verify for accuracy, and deliver on time

- Accurately complete paperwork

- Load and unload various types of cargo safely

- Drive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather

- Inspect vehicle before start of shift; perform basic truck maintenance when necessary

- Follow schedule and rest when necessary

- Be able to read maps and follow directions to a location

- Provide courteous, professional customer service at all customer locations

- Other duties as assigned

Skills Needed to be a Class A Driver

- Successful completion of a motor vehicle driving record check

- Able to follow detailed instructions and communicate in English

- Strong ability to pay attention to detail

- Be able to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.

- Drive for long periods of time safely

- Self-motivated and reliable

- Able to read maps and GPS

- Customer service skills

- Good knowledge of roads and direction, traffic laws, and DOT regulations

Requirements for Being a Class A Truck Driver

- Valid CDL Class A License

- Clean driving record (requirements, or certain exceptions, may vary)

- At least 5 years of CDL driving experience

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
