This role is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity with weekly attendance bonuses once permanent.Join a company with 40+ years of stability, consistent overtime, and the opportunity to work on large-scale hydraulic steel structures, bridges, and heavy industrial equipment.Job Description-Candidates will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and welding structural steel components according to blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.-Performs FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) on structural steel parts for moving bridges, ensures proper fit-up, alignment, and dimensional accuracy, and operates welding and fabrication equipment safely.-Reads and interprets engineering drawings, measures and cuts materials, and inspects completed welds to meet quality and safety standards.-Works independently and as part of a fabrication team to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.If you take pride in your craftsmanship, enjoy working with structural steel, and want to see the results of your work on projects that matter, we want to talk to you.Full-Time1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PMBuilt-in Overtime (Typically 45-50 Hours Weekly)Attendance Bonus Available once FulltimeTop SkillsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.Fit, tack, and assemble structural steel components.Perform FCAW welding in various positions.Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication.Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely.Inspect welds and ensure compliance with project specifications.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Experience with FCAW (Flux Core) welding on structural steel.Strong blueprint-reading and fitting skills.Ability to use measuring tools accurately.Knowledge of welding codes, safety procedures, and quality standards.Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a shop or field environmentBring your welding skills.
