General Manager
The General Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the operations and overall performance of ND Packaging's Langhorne, PA facility. This role is actively engaged on the plant floor, working closely with stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The GM will drive execution with uncompromising servant leadership, and direct involvement in problem-solving, workflow optimization, and team development with a strong focus on safety and compliance is critical, leading by example to promote a culture where safety and accountability are the top priorities.
This position is accountable for meeting production schedules, maintaining high quality standards, and achieving cost and efficiency targets while driving continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce waste in a start-up environment. The GM plays a key role in building an engaged workforce by coaching frontline leaders, reinforcing expectations, and promoting clear communication across all levels of the plant. The role requires a leader who can motivate teams, manage change effectively, and deliver results in a collaborative environment. The GM also partners with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments are met and service expectations are exceeded, balancing daily operational demands with continuous improvement to support long-term stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities & Expected Results:
- Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
- Direct and oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, and on-time delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational performance.
- Manage plant P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or customer service.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability for results.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
- Identify growth opportunities, process improvements, and market trends relevant to packaging operations.
- Lead capital investment planning and execution.
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and succession planning initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet customer requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality supply and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Champion workplace safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee quality systems and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related preferred; or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, direct experience in packaging and corrugate manufacturing required
- Excellent financial and business acumen with proven experience managing a full P&L
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- High level management of capital projects and investments across multiple functions
- Proven servant leadership mindset while supporting multiple teams and operational excellence
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and results-driven start up environment
