Machine Operator

Our client, A Food Manufacturer is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the Compounding team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Melville, NY

Pay Range: $24/hr 

Shift: M-F 5:00am – 2:30pm shift with occasional overtime and weekend work

What's the Job?

• Accurately measure and mix raw materials according to specified formulations and batch records to support consistent, high-quality compounded products.
• Operate and maintain compounding equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly before and during production.
• Monitor batch processes and compounding activity to detect and resolve issues that may affect product quality or safety.
• Maintain detailed and accurate production records, including batch logs and quality control documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies while collaborating with quality assurance and production teams to support continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in Food Manufacturing 
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
• Ability to read and interpret batch records, formulas, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity to prevent errors during measurement, mixing, and documentation.
