Direct hire or temp-to-perm position available. The bill rate for temp-to-perm is $55/hr. The facility is AH Pineville located at 10628 Park Rd Charlotte, NC 28210. There are nine positions available with various shifts including: Monday-Friday 1630-0030, 5x8's Monday-Friday 1730-0130, 0630-1430 Monday-Friday, 3x12's 0700-1930 Sat/Sun, 0900-2130 Monday, 3x12's 0800-2030 Sat/Sun, 1100-2330 Monday, 3x12's 0900-2130 Friday, 3x12's 1100-2330 Friday, 3x12's 1300-0130 Sat/Sun, 3x12's 2100-0930 Fri, 2000-0830 Sat/Sun, and 4x9's 2230-0800 Mon-Thurs.

Salary: $28-48.77/hr depending on experience. Bonuses include up to $10k sign on bonus and $5k relocation.

Job Description: Duties

The CT Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This equipment includes scanner, post processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport and patient monitoring equipment. Essential functions include examining requests and verifying orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the radiologist before performing exam, properly identifying and assisting patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures, preparing patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documenting on appropriate worksheets, interviewing patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history, recording medical history on requisitions, correlating other test results and laboratory data with exam being performed, assuming responsibility for the exam from beginning of exam until completion of dictated results, preparing and administering IV contrast according to departmental protocols, evaluating technical quality of images and consulting with a radiologist if needed, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing any additional, reconstructed images, and/or measurements as instructed, informing appropriate nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition, initiating life support measures for patients when necessary, assisting in code blue procedures during medical emergencies, performing CT scanning and assisting radiologist/PA during invasive procedures, practicing proper sterile technique in the preparation of necessary supplies, performing all invasive procedures in accordance with bloodborne pathogens, isolation, and infection control policies and procedures, obtaining medication or contrast material as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, practicing principle of radiation safety for self, employees, patients and family members, reporting malfunctioning equipment to the department director/manager/supervisor and clinical engineering/radiology engineer, operating radiology computer system to include entering orders and charging procedures/supplies, documenting contrast administration in the MAR, maintaining assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion, assisting other medical personnel, such as anesthesia, when performing exams or services in conjunction with a CT scan, and using radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.

Skills

Skills include ARRT certification in radiology, or NMTCB for nuclear medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required in addition to current CPR certification.

Education

Graduate of an accredited two (2) year AMA and ARRT approved program in radiologic technology required. Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology or 1 year experience in CT scanning or equivalent applicable experience required. ARRT certification and CPR certification required. IV and contrast administration certification required before performing venous contrast administration.
