Field Mechanic

Senior Field Service MechanicJoin Cooper Equipment Rentals, a new division of Cooper Tacia General Contracting. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Field Service Mechanic to join our office in Sanford, NC. In this role you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, boom lifts, telehandlers, and other small tools and specialty items.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, drive trains, and fuel systems on-site and in the fieldOversee and conduct all scheduled and preventative maintenance on Cooper owned fleetProduce detailed and timely service reports and work ordersMaintain an organized and safe working environment on-site and in the fieldBuild positive and lasting relationships with customersAdhere to all company safety guidelines and protocolsPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsHS diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience as heavy construction technician or field service mechanicMust possess various tools needed for roleRental equipment background preferredAbility to operate various equipment including booms lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, skid steers and other construction-related equipmentStrong understanding of telematics, diagnostic software, and equipment specific toolsStrong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions systemsAvailability for after hours calls as neededMust maintain a well organized and clean service vehicle at all timesValid driver's licenseSkillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with customersAttention to detail with a strong safety mindsetAdvanced computer skills to properly document repairs and work ordersAbility to work effectively across organizational boundariesEmployment TypeFull-timeSalary30 – 33 an hourBenefits· 100% Employer Paid Health, Vision & Dental Insurance for employee · PTO/ Paid Holidays · 401K W/ 4% Match · Continued Education as neededJoin the Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company TeamAt Cooper Tacia General Contracting Company, we believe in building excellence from the ground up.
