Trailer Mechanics

Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining trailering equipment for a Fortune 500 package delivery company in a clean well-maintained environment. Training Programs Opportunity to promote within Relocation options around the country Requirements: Qualified Mechanic:1-3 years as a trailer/chassis mechanic (or similar). Possess most required tools. Must Pass Background Check Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Perform FAI and State required inspections. Inspect and repair “S” cam air brake systems. Diagnose and repair anti-lock brake systems. Perform repairs to commercial trailers and converter dollies in all potential aspects. Perform the required paperwork and/or computer records accordingly. Qualifications are, but not limited to: Must be 18 years of age Must have basic computer skills Must have necessary tools to perform job functions Willing to work on becoming certified in DOT inspections, Air brake certifications, ASE certified. MIG Welding preferred Trailer repair: Minimum 1 years’ experience Required ABS - System troubleshooting and repair Corner Radius Repairs Lighting - Troubleshooting and repairs Roof repairs - patch, section and replacement Scuff liner repairs and or replacements Suspensions repairs and replacement Major trailer repair/wreck repairs Bottom/top rail repairs and or replacements Side sheet replacements Threshold repair/replacements American Transportation Services is an equal opportunity at will employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.
