Our client in New Kensington, PA is seeking a passionate and skilled Quoting/Estimating Engineer to join their team!
Pay: DOE $80k - $100kHours: Mon-Fri
Responsibilities
- Manage quote opportunities and meet Quotation deadlines.
- Develop detailed cost estimates
- Evaluates RFQs to determine product cost and manufacturing feasibility based on materials, labor, and design.
- Checks customer prints and models to find potential manufacturing risks, part tolerances, and tooling needs
- Generate formal customer quotations with clear assumptions/exceptions, lead times and commercial terms.
- Develops the quotations of the modifications/adjustments occurring after the initial order.
- Partner with Supply Chain to verify raw material cost, MOQ, lead time and other purchasing requirements.
- Partners with Quality Engineering to manage regulatory standards and inspection requirements, including PPAP and validation protocols.
- Continuously refine estimating logic using actual performance data (cycle time, scrap, productivity)..
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation or a related role in the manufacturing industry, with specific experience in precision machined components
- Direct experience in medical, automotive or aerospace
- Experience working for a Contract Manufacturer or OEM
- Strong engineering background with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks or equipment CAD/CAM software packages for estimating and DFM purposes
