We are looking for a dynamic, highly collaborative Copywriter to help drive the narrative and verbal charge for our highest-profile brand and integrated Above-The-Line (ATL) campaigns. This isn't a role for a passive writer; it's for a hands-on wordsmith who thrives in the trenches of big-idea concepting and possesses the writing genius to execute them flawlessly. You will report directly to the Senior Creative Director, Copy, receiving dedicated mentorship to fast-track your growth while ensuring our verbal output remains unmatched. You will partner closely with art direction counterparts, working as a tight team to bring our biggest narrative swings to life. AI as Your Creative Co-Pilot: We don't just adopt technology; we pioneer it. At Verizon, we believe AI shouldn't replace human genius-it should liberate it. In this role, you won't just tolerate GenAI; you will champion it to supercharge our creative development pipeline. We leverage advanced AI tools to accelerate brainstorming, execute rapid visual prototyping, and smash through routine generation bottlenecks. We expect you to treat AI as an expansive, collaborative canvas-using it to test the boundaries of "what if" at lightning speed, freeing up your team to focus on what matters most: deeply human, authentic, and jaw-dropping storytelling. Responsibilities include: Execute Big ATL & Integrated Work: Partner on the concepting and execution of groundbreaking, full-funnel integrated campaigns with a massive emphasis on top-tier broadcast, digital, and out-of-home media. Champion Social-First Thinking: Infuse every campaign with native social media DNA. We don't just adapt TV spots for social platforms; we want you to invent voice and narrative formats that stop the scroll and drive cultural conversation. The Collaboration Dynamic: Partner seamlessly with art direction counterparts to co-create projects from initial brief through production, ensuring tight visual and verbal synergy. Refine Your Craft: Actively engage with and learn from the Sr. CD Copy, taking accountability for your conceptual development and pushing the boundaries of your verbal output. Push Brand Boundaries: Honor the foundational principles of the Verizon brand while constantly finding fresh, daring ways to evolve its verbal identity and brand voice. Articulate Your Vision: Confidently present, defend, and articulate your copy choices and narrative strategies to internal creative directors and cross-functional stakeholders. What we're looking for... You’ll need to have: Bachelor's Degree or four or more years of work experience. Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience. Even better if you have: Five or more years of experience within top-tier advertising agencies or world-class in-house creative teams, with a standout portfolio showcasing strong ATL and integrated work. Experience working with major, recognizable brands. You know how to write creatively within established brand guidelines while maintaining the agility of a startup. A deep, uncompromising passion for storytelling, scriptwriting, voice development, and conceptual copy execution. You know what resonates, and more importantly, why it works. Direct experience participating in commercial shoots, directing voiceover talent, and collaborating throughout the post-production workflow to bring the script to life. You are zero-ego, highly collaborative, hungry to learn, and deeply invested in pushing the creative work forward. Where you'll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
