The Metal Finisher, under the direction of the Production Manager, will provide first class metal finishing to die sections and die casting tools, prior to PVD treatment according to the Oerlikon Blazers standards. This position will have significant responsibility for ensuring the overall quality control of production services provided for Forming Tools through rigorous quality checks pre and post treatment. The Metal Finisher will perform special projects as directed. This is a first shift position with core hours of 9:00am – 6:30pm. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for metal finishing /polishing of stamping forming die steels and die casting tools. Performs metallurgical checks of tooling including Spectro, hardness checks, and heat treatment determination of tools. Maintains the measurement devices. Provides additional support to the Production Manager and customers as required. Your Profile: Commits to corporate core values, goals, mission, and vision. High School graduate or GED. 1-2 years of metal finishing /polishing of stamping forming die steels and die casting tools experience preferred. Must be comfortable working with hands and be able to lift 44lbs. Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detail oriented. Good verbal and written communication skills.
