Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The Work What you’ll get to do: Oversee the maintenance and security of company intranets and computer systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime Set up and maintain user access, including permissions and security protocols Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues promptly to minimize downtime Work with other IT staff and departments to identify and implement new technologies that enhance system performance and user experience Why Join Us Benefits include: Your Health, Your Wealth, Your Life Flexible schedules, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits enable you to live a healthy, fulfilling life at and outside of work Basic Qualifications A final Secret clearance is required Must have a DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+ CE) Experience with Systems Administration for Windows or Linux operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Desired Skills Experience with Windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc. Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc. Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS) Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, SAN, and NAS Experience with hardware installation and maintenance, including firmware upgrades Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
