Senior Accountant

Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior accountant. Primarily you will assist management with the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting ensuring adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and leading team projects. Duties include: Create and submit journal entries for approval with supporting documentation Reconcile complex accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Analyze financial records for discrepancies and make necessary corrections if necessary Provide timely feedback to Staff and Junior Accountants Work cross functionally with other departments as needed Training junior team members Ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements for Anticimex, Turner and other standard accounting procedures Proficient knowledge of accounting software programs Preparing annual budgets Ideal candidates will: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification seeking or obtained Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or another related field Have at least 5 years of accounting experience Ability to review workpapers prepared by junior staff Ability to work independently Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed Have strong mathematical and analytical skills Be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software Have excellent oral and written communication skills Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrate ability to lead a team Excellent attention to detail Be willing to continuously strive to further knowledge and experience Be well-organized Physical Activities Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
