Mitigation Technician – Restoration
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Mitigation Technician with a background in water,
fire, mold, and/or property restoration. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and
comfortable working in residential and commercial properties to assist with emergency
mitigation and restoration projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
• Respond to water, fire, mold, and other property damage emergencies.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and debris removal as
needed.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, and
moisture monitoring equipment.
• Perform moisture inspections and document affected areas.
• Assist with mold remediation and containment procedures.
• Complete selective demolition and removal of damaged materials.
• Clean, sanitize, and deodorize affected areas.
• Assist with pack-outs, contents handling, and property protection.
• Maintain accurate daily job documentation, photographs, equipment logs, and
moisture readings.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance
representatives, and project managers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Assist Project Managers and other restoration team members as needed.
• Drive company vehicles and transport equipment and materials to job sites.
Qualifications
• Previous mitigation and/or restoration experience preferred.
• Experience with water mitigation, structural drying, demolition, fire/smoke cleanup,
or mold remediation preferred.

• IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT are a plus but not necessary.
• Comfortable working in damaged residential and commercial properties.
• Ability to operate restoration equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to properly document work.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift equipment and materials and perform physically demanding work.
• Must be comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, confined areas, and other
challenging environments when required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has at least 1–2 years of hands-on restoration/mitigation
experience and understands the urgency involved in emergency property damage. They
should be able to walk onto a job site, assess what needs to be done, operate equipment,
communicate with the customer, and work efficiently as part of a restoration team.
