Assistant General Manager – Redbird & Vibiana
Downtown Los Angeles
Redbird and Vibiana are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team as we head into our 12th year strong in Downtown Los Angeles.
Led by Chef/Owner Neal Fraser and Chef Jason Bowlin , Redbird is a full-service restaurant located in the historic former rectory of Vibiana, the original cathedral of Los Angeles. In addition to the restaurant, we operate a large private events business with everything from intimate dinners and weddings to corporate events and large-scale celebrations.
We are looking for someone who loves being on the floor and taking care of guests. This is a hands-on position working closely with our GM, chefs, beverage team and events team. You’ll help oversee restaurant service while also being involved with private events of all sizes throughout the property.
A strong working knowledge of wine is important . You should be comfortable talking with guests about wine, helping with selections, understanding proper wine service and working with our beverage team. Knowledge of cocktails and spirits is a plus.
We’re looking for someone with good hospitality instincts, a positive attitude and the ability to lead a team without over-managing. Someone who can jump into service, solve problems as they come up and help make both the restaurant and events run smoothly.
