Product Demonstrator Part Time

DESCRIPTION

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The role involves acquiring and maintaining product knowledge; preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies; intercepting consumers and demonstrating products professionally; and maintaining a professional appearance in accordance with job requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product. Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintains a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Properly sets up and prepares the event table for execution. Achieves 100% execution on assigned work. Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections. Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Completes expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Accesses the internet, navigates company electronic systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company retains discretion to change the role based on business needs. Additional tasks may be assigned by management as required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficiency in using a personal computer or mobile device, including internal applications and systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required. Physical Demands: The associate will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step on a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances and supplies, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance: Must maintain a professional and properly groomed appearance; retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.
