Roofing Estimator

Job TitleResponsibilities:• Responsible for completing detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets.• Prepare quotations from architectural drawings.• Perform clerical duties associated with keeping up filing and job folders.• Read construction blue prints, drawings, plans and specifications and prepare estimates• Gather and calculate take-off data from a digital take-off program• Build and retain relationships with vendors• Ensure thoroughness of estimates and help with ease of construction by field operations• Keep and track bid scheduleRequirements:• Education: High school diploma. College degree or some college experience preferable.• Experience in estimating construction or architectural products• Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications.• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.• Experience with digital takeoff programs. Examples: Edge estimating software, OST, Quickbid.
