Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cardiac Cath Lab) RN position is available in Bloomington, Illinois. This hospital-based role involves clinical responsibilities within a specialized cardiac catheterization unit, with shifts scheduled for days. Candidates are required to bring their active Illinois nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Bloomington, Illinois
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, from 0700 to 1530, Monday through Friday, with on-call requirements two to three nights per week, two holidays per year, and on-call every third weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application has been initiated; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience.
• Additional Information: Must be able to read telemetry strips and titrate drips. Knowledge of most IV medications is required. Preference given to candidates with experience in peripheral angio cases, interventional radiology, and neuro intervention. Experience with EMR system EPIC and Philips monitoring equipment is necessary. On-call responsibilities and orientation period of approximately four shifts are included.
• Equipment and Facility Notes: The unit has two labs with an average of three heart catheterizations and two angiograms daily. Charge nurses take assignments on shifts. Scrubs are hospital-provided, and a unit-specific orientation is typically four shifts long.
• Submission Requirements: Last four digits of clinician's SSN, middle initial, confirmed active Illinois license or initiation of application process, understanding of Drug-Free Campus policy, and negative drug screen for all panels.
