Travel Cath Lab Tech in Merced, CA

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Cath Lab Tech with expertise in imaging to support a growing cardiac catheterization lab in Merced, CA. This travel position offers the chance to work in a facility currently operating one cath lab, soon expanding to two, with case volumes ranging from zero up to 5-6 daily. The role focuses on assisting with a variety of cardiac and peripheral procedures including PCIs, diagnostic catheterizations, nephrostomy tube placements, and IVC filter insertions.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proficient imaging support during cath lab procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes
• Assist in training new nursing staff, sharing your expertise and enhancing team capabilities
• Utilize advanced knowledge of balloon pumps and STEMI protocols, though all STEMI cases are transferred to a nearby facility
• Collaborate with RNs who circulate, while scrubbing is not required

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy
• Proven experience as a Cath Lab Tech, including knowledge of Cerner, Sensis, and Merge systems
• Capability to operate GE imaging equipment effectively
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently during varying case loads
• Demonstrated ability to educate staff and adapt to evolving clinical settings

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Day shifts based on 8-hour blocks, flexible depending on experience
