Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor trailers, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, particularly with tractor trailers.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
