This employment will begin August 11, 2026 for the FY2026-2027 Metro Schools Schedule
Salary is based on proof of Highest Education per below:

• Associate $53,5771.00

• Bachelor $56,998.00

• Master $58,611.00

Typical Duties

• Provides nursing services in Metro Nashville/Davidson County Schools.

• Evaluates the health needs of students attending assigned schools.

• Provides or arranges for selected screenings and assessments.

• Provides care coordination/case management.

• Provides generalized health services.

• Implements medication distribution system.

• Maintains student health records.

• Performs related duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee . Applicants holding a Registered Nurse license from a state that participates in the "Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact" may be hired, but must obtain their Tennessee license within thirty (30) days of hire.

• Diploma or Associate's Degree in nursing. Candidates with Diploma or Associate's Degree in nursing must establish a documented ability to competently perform all functions of this classification to be considered. Bachelor's degree from a state-approved school of nursing preferred.

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.

• All public health nurses are required to complete a department approved Certificate in Public Health as a condition of continued employment. Possess required competencies upon hiring.

• Valid class "D" driver's license, use of personal vehicle, and maintenance of valid personal vehicle insurance as required by Tennessee Law.

Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply, however at the present time MPHD is not sponsoring individuals through any of the US Governments employment-based immigration programs.
